We just don’t have it in us to do something about Kashmir. We all know the problems, express sympathy on social media and get ourselves ready for tomorrow without making today any better.
Article 370 – why can’t we abolish it ? Its a problem that we are happy to continue. Sometimes over single malt we debate on applying civil code in Kashmir. Has anyone seen the Whatsapp groups in Kashmir ? And what do they teach in the Madrasas of Anantnag ?
Suicide bombings are a pattern. Once it starts it accelerates. We can see that in our neighbouring and other countries. Radicalised youth are brainwashed into considering it their highest calling. Unless forceful action is taken it’ll spread beyond Kashmir.
Anger. Shock. Grief. Frustration. How could this happen? Its so brazen. How must we respond? To make sure this cannot .. just cannot happen again. How many more of our forces must be martyred before we realise that drastic steps must be taken.
