Countries that are able to mobilize enough military capacity to destroy the world many times over are apparently unable to provide masks to nurses and ventilators to patients.

Capitalism has proliferated 34 varieties of Pringles, 40 different Barbies, countless varieties of  passenger cars and beverages, and ballistic missiles with a range of 16,000 kilometers, but for some reason we cannot produce enough masks and ventilators for basic public health.

We have a system that cares more about power than about life.
