Should China compensate the World !

There’s a growing suspicion, being diligently pursued by the Trump administration, that the coronavirus pandemic, which has already infected more than two million people worldwide, killed over 2,00,000, and dealt a crippling blow to the global economy, didn’t begin in a wet market in Wuhan as earlier believed, but in a laboratory in the same Chinese city. Recently we saw on social media that Germany has sent China a UK Pound 130 billion bill.
The Chinese facility in question reportedly wasn’t making biological weapons, but was experimenting with viruses of various kinds. Inadequate safety protocols are said to have infected an intern, who subsequently passed on the infection to a friend she met in the wet market.
Now a New York-based  lawyer has said that Beijing should be presented with a bill for the terrible damage it has inflicted upon the physical and economic health of the world. 

Applying the US law of torts – which makes you liable to pay compensation for any injuries you may cause to another, even if unintentional – the lawyer has said that China must pay $5 million for every American coronavirus death, $1 million for every infection, and $100,000 for every lost job, the unemployment figure in the country having already surpassed 22 million people. 

Moreover, the $1.3 trillion worth of US Treasury Bonds that Beijing holds should also be discredited. Last week a news was floating that China is dismantling the USD peg to Yuan. 

Similar demands will be raised by other countries including moving out US, Japanese, Korean firms and their manufacturing facilities out of China.

All these may have a deep impact on Chinese people working and living in countries , other than China. My thinking is that after this all subsides, maybe we see a xenophobia against Chinese in the world. And if that happens, then lets brace ourselves.
